The family company was founded by Lorenzo Rubelli in 1889 with the purchase of a textile factory that had existed for more than half a century by that time. The quality of the canvas produced at the factory was highly appreciated in Venice and beyond. World industrial exhibitions have honored the company with many awards
Textiles, Wallcovering, Acoustic Panels
The fabrics in the Rubelli archive represent in fact a matchless source of creative ideas for the new collections, also offering an excellent starting point for the creation of exclusive fabrics according to specific customer requirements. The function of the archive as an essential aid is also seen in the preliminary research that precedes reconstruction of specimens of ancient textiles that once belonged to historical residences, embassies, museums and cultural institutions in all corners of the world.
Thanks to that, Rubelli participates enthusiastically in the preservation and restoration of the world’s decorative heritage: the royal palaces in Venice and Milan, the La Scala Theater, the Albertina Museum in Vienna, the Doge’s Palace and the La Fenice Theater in Venice, the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow are just some of the examples.
